Vent: Switched to a power stretcher for a 12x15 room in Modesto and got way more wrinkles than before

I figured the power stretcher would be faster and give a better pull, but I ended up with ripples near the walls that I never get with my knee kicker. The head kept slipping on the pad, and I spent an extra hour fixing spots. Lesson learned for now: I'm sticking with the knee kicker for tighter spaces unless I'm on a big open floor. Has anyone else had this trouble with power stretchers or am I missing something with the teeth adjustment?

Man, I feel your pain. I had the same issue on a 14x20 living room in Fresno - the power stretcher kept popping off the tack strip every third pull. I found that if I really crank the teeth adjustment down so they bite deep into the carpet, it holds way better. Also, I started using a seam roller to press the carpet into the tack strip after each stretch, which killed the ripples near the walls. What kind of carpet were you working with?

Yeah cranking those teeth down made all the difference for me on a thick berber in Phoenix.
