Vent: chose power stretcher over knee kicker for a big living room job
Figured the power stretcher would save time on a 20x30 room in a condo downtown, but it kept snagging on the pad and took twice as long to adjust. Anyone else ditch the fancy tools for the old school way on tight layouts?

Yeah "fights you every step" is right, that's basically the story of trying to use a complex tool when a simple one would do. In my experience that pattern shows up everywhere not just flooring - like when I try to use a food processor for something a knife would handle faster. Sometimes the fancy option just gives you more things to trip over, especially in a tight spot.
