Tried a power stretcher vs a knee kicker for a 12x15 room and the difference was night and day

Last Tuesday I had this 12x15 bedroom in an old house with hardwood floors underneath. Used my knee kicker for half the room and it looked okay but had some ripples near the door. Switched to a power stretcher for the other half and that carpet laid flat as a pancake, no seams showing. Makes me wonder if I should just sell my knee kicker and go full power stretcher for residential jobs. Anyone else make the switch and regret it or love it?

Power stretchers are the real deal for sure. I remember this one time I had a tricky hallway with a weird angle and my knee kicker just kept popping up on one side, left these little bumps I couldn't get rid of. Pulled out my power stretcher and it was like magic, everything laid down perfect first try. I actually keep both in my truck though, because sometimes when you're working in a tight closet the knee kicker is all that fits (you know, when you're wedged between the wall and the toilet). That said, I definitely reach for the power stretcher way more often now, especially on anything bigger than a bathroom.
