That expensive seam tape I bought was a total waste of 60 bucks

I spent $60 on that thermal seam tape everyone raves about, thinking it would save me time on seaming. It peeled right up on the second job I used it on, a living room in a new build. Has anyone else had this tape fail on them, or did I just get a bad batch?

Maybe the tape was designed for a specific temp range and that new build living room wasn't cured or dry enough yet. Lot of people forget to check moisture levels before applying stuff like that.

Did you actually check moisture levels or just assume they were fine?
