Hit 1000 square yards installed in a single month last July in Phoenix

I've been laying carpet for about 4 years now, and last July I somehow hit 1,000 square yards installed in one month. That's about 9,000 square feet of carpet. I was working 6 days a week, sometimes 10 hour days, just to keep up with the demand in the Phoenix summer heat. It was a mix of new builds and a few commercial jobs, and I honestly didn't realize how much I'd done until I added up the numbers. My back was killing me, but it was cool to see the total. Has anyone else kept track of their monthly yardage and been surprised?

Man, just reading that made my back ache in sympathy. Thousand square yards in Phoenix July? That's not just working hard, that's borderline superhuman if you ask me. I've helped buddy on a few small carpet jobs and even doing a single room in that kind of heat had me ready to call it quits by noon. You must have been drinking your body weight in water every single day just to keep from passing out. Honestly, I'm more impressed by the fact you even bothered to add up the numbers at the end of it all, because after days like that I'd just want to collapse and never think about work again. Mad respect for that kind of grind, seriously.

For real, just picturing that heat makes me want to lie down. How do you even function after a day like that without crashing for 12 hours straight?
