A client in Austin swore by using a carpet rake after every clean, and I thought it was just extra work.
I finally tried it on a job last week, a big living room with a thick plush pile, and the difference in how the fibers stood up was huge. It made the vacuum lines from the final pass look way more crisp and professional. Do you guys use a carpet rake, or is there another trick for that final finish?

That's a huge difference on plush carpet, I bet it looked amazing. What kind of carpet rake did you end up using? I've seen the plastic ones and the metal blade types, and I'm never sure which is better for different pile heights.
