I nearly faked a timber grade for a quick payoff.

The buyer wouldn't know the difference, but my conscience yelled louder than my wallet.

Man, that's something I see all the time in small ways. People cut corners thinking it doesn't matter, but those tiny choices build your character. Good on you for listening to your gut.

But is it really that serious? We might be making a big deal out of nothing. Most folks cut corners sometimes without it changing who they are.
