Can we talk about how hand cutting dovetails with a router jig actually got worse over 3 months

I used a router jig for 3 months on oak drawers thinking it was faster, then last week I cut 8 tails by hand in 45 minutes with my Veritas saw and they fit tighter than anything the jig ever gave me, so why does everyone still push the jig for small runs?
