Vent: Found out my tent seam sealer expired 3 years ago

I was getting ready for a trip this weekend and dug out my old can of seam sealer. Checked the bottom and it had a manufacture date of 2021. Tried it on a scrap piece of fabric anyway and it just flaked off like dried glue. Had to run to REI and drop $18 on a new bottle I didn't plan on buying. Anyone else forget to check expiration dates on this stuff?

Heard someone on a podcast say the same thing was their biggest mistake in a home renovation. They had to tear out a whole cabinet to fix a pipe they should've addressed first. @nancyd85 I bet you saved a lot of people some serious frustration by sharing that. It's always the simple stuff we overlook that ends up costing the most time and money. Makes you wonder how many of us learn the hard way before we finally slow down and plan ahead.
