My 'waterproof' sleeping bag failed at 2 AM in the Oregon rain

I was at Silver Falls State Park and woke up soaked because the seams leaked. Anyone have a truly waterproof bag they swear by for heavy rain?

Silver Falls rain is no joke, but a soaked sleeping bag sounds like a bad seal, not the end of the world.

Didn't I read that a bivy sack is the real fix for a wet bag?

My sleeping bag is just a raincoat for my legs now...
