My neighbor thought blowing on a lens would fix the autofocus.

That's when I knew camera myths are everywhere, and part of our job is busting them.

Busting myths is our job? Seems a bit over the top.

Last Tuesday, a client insisted that putting rice in their camera bag would fix moisture damage. I had to explain that rice doesn't actually draw water out of electronics. @tessa_king might think calling out myths is too much, but I once saw someone rub a lens with vinegar to remove scratches. Another good one is people thinking zooming with their feet is always better than using the zoom ring. These ideas spread faster than a lens fungus.
