Ran my dado stack backwards for 2 weeks before a client's kid pointed at the teeth
I was wondering why every 3/4 dado burned and chattered like crazy, and the tearout on maple was brutal. The boy asked why the teeth pointed up at him instead of into the wood, and yeah I just stood there. Anyone else ever get humbled by a 9 year old in their own shop?
Man, come on, a backwards stack still cuts, and if you pushed through slow enough the burn was your feed rate, not the teeth. The kid just got lucky guessing, half those "experts" in the comments couldn't tell a dado from a rabbet anyway.
