My boning knife slipped during a busy Saturday shift

I was breaking down a side of beef at the counter and my hand was slick. The blade went into the cutting board about an inch from my thumb. I just stopped, cleaned everything, and switched to a new knife with a grippier handle. What's your go-to move when a tool feels off during a rush?

Did you at least get a cool scar out of it? My go-to move is just swearing a lot and hoping the next cut goes better.

What's the best scar you've got from that method, @shane838?

Read online that some folks swear by the scar cream from CVS. Not the fancy stuff, just the basic one. Helps with fading and flattening if you catch it early. My buddy's got a real clean line on his forearm from a box cutter incident, says that's the only thing he used. Not saying it's magic, just saying it worked for him.
