Had to decide between a new band saw blade or a new boning knife for the shop budget last month.
I went with the knife and spent the next week cutting through a 40-pound pork shoulder like it was butter, but man, trying to break down a side of beef with a dull band saw was a real comedy of errors.

Ugh, that's the worst kind of trade-off... a sharp knife is pure joy, but fighting a dull saw just sucks all the fun out of it.

Right? A sharp knife feels like magic. I spent an hour yesterday just cutting veggies because my good knife made it so satisfying.
