Tried a color coded key for my daily logs and it changed everything

I was talking to my friend Maria at the coffee shop in Austin last week and she showed me her bullet journal. She uses a simple system with 4 colored pens to track tasks, events, notes, and ideas. I tried it for 5 days and it made finding stuff so much faster. Has anyone else tried a color system that actually works for them?

Start with a timer for 5 minutes and just dump everything in your head onto paper. @harper_wells knows what I'm talking about when the little stuff piles up. Group similar tasks together, like all the phone calls or all the errands, so you're not switching gears every 2 minutes. And keep a small notebook by your bed for the random things that pop into your head at night, gets them out of your brain so you can actually sleep.
