That minimalist spread trend everyone raves about? My coworker Lisa told me to try it for my weekly habit tracker and it backfired hard.
Lisa (who's been bullet journaling for like 4 years) swore I'd save time by ditching all my color coding and just using one black pen with simple dots. So last month I tried it for my fitness logging - you know, water intake, steps, sleep hours. After 2 weeks I realized I was forgetting to check things because nothing popped out at me visually. I went back to my messy colored spreads with highlighters and stickers and my consistency jumped way up. Has anyone else found that minimal setups actually hurt your tracking progress?

Funny you mention this because I just read something about how our brains actually need those visual cues to form habits. Something about color coding triggering faster recall or whatever. Made me think maybe the whole minimalist thing is just for aesthetic Instagram posts rather than real life use. Your experience sounds pretty common honestly, I've seen a few folks say similar stuff in other threads. Aint nothing wrong with being a messy color person if it keeps you on track.

It is funny how often the simple, hands-on way ends up working better than the sleek, modern approach everyone pushes online.
