I finally kept a daily log for 30 days straight and my monthly review went from a mess to a one page map
Last January I was just dumping tasks on random pages and my reviews took an hour of flipping around, but after 30 days of logging every single night I could actually trace where my time went. Anyone else find that the daily log does the heavy lifting and the monthly spreads just sit there looking pretty?
Wondering if the daily log actually works better as a memory dump you read back later than as a planning tool, since most people try to plan in it and just get stuck. Maybe the trick is writing it at night so your brain already sorted the day for you.
