Hot take: I stopped decorating my weekly spreads and my journal finally works
I used to spend 45 minutes every Sunday drawing boxes and shading banners for the week ahead. By Wednesday I would skip two days because the blank space felt too ugly to mess up. Then last month I flipped back through my old journals and saw that the plain weeks from January 2023 had way more actual notes in them than the pretty weeks. The fancy spreads were just decoration I was afraid to write on. Now I use a pen and a ruler, five minutes tops, and I have not missed a daily log in 32 days. Anyone else notice their plainest pages end up being the most useful?
