Got roasted by a coworker for my cluttered weekly spread
I used to cram every single task, appointment, and random thought into one weekly spread until a coworker at my gym saw it and said 'dude, this looks like a panic attack on paper.' She was right. I was using 5 different colors and too many tiny boxes. So I tried her advice and stripped it down to only track 3 main things per day: work tasks, personal stuff, and meals. Also switched to just black pen with one accent color for priorities. After 2 weeks of this simpler setup I actually stick with my journal now instead of abandoning it halfway through the month. Has anyone else ever had someone call out their messy system and had it actually help?

That line "panic attack on paper" hit me hard because I've been there too. I used to fill every square with so much stuff that I'd get overwhelmed just looking at it and then give up by Wednesday. My partner saw my old journal and just laughed, not even mean about it, but it made me realize how chaotic it was. Now I use a really basic layout with just three sections and honestly its way easier to keep up with. Sometimes getting called out is exactly what we need.

Right?! @wendy_murphy16 I did the exact same thing - crammed every little box full of nonsense and then felt like a failure by Thursday. My sister saw my old one and was like "did you have a panic attack on this page" and I was like... yeah, basically. The three section layout is a total lifesaver, keeps me from overthinking it.
