My coworker said my $25 a week grocery budget was "too extreme" and it made me mad
My coworker Dana saw me eating rice and beans for the third day in a row at lunch and told me I was being "too hard on myself" with my $25 weekly food budget. What she doesn't get is that I paid off $3,200 of credit card debt in 5 months doing this, and she's the one who complains about money every single week. Why do people act like being smart with your money is some kind of sad thing?
My brother did something like this and paid off his truck in a year, so I get it. People just hate seeing someone else win... they'd rather you be broke and fun to be around.
