Dropped my gym fee after going fully remote
My old gym was near the office, so I paid for lunchtime workouts. Now I work from home and follow free yoga videos online. This switch saves me ninety dollars each month. I use that cash to chip away at my car payment.

How's the online yoga compared to your old gym routine?

Online yoga wins for convenience and cost, no question. I can roll out of bed and do a class without driving anywhere. But I really miss the energy of a full gym and seeing the same people every week. There's less push to try hard when you're just staring at a screen. It's a trade-off between what's easy and what actually gets me going.

That TRADE-OFF you mentioned is so real. Online yoga is convenient but it lacks that group energy that makes you actually try. In a gym, seeing familiar faces every week creates ACCOUNTABILITY because people notice if you slack off. I miss the little nods and shared struggles that push you through tough poses. At home, it's too easy to just stop early when you're alone with a screen. You save time and money online but lose that external push that gets real results.
