Found a $12 night train trick in Vienna that beat every hostel
Was in Vienna for 4 days and hotels were insane. A local at the train station told me about the night trains to Prague that leave around 11pm. I booked a couchette for like $12 extra on a regular ticket and basically slept through the ride. Woke up in Prague, saved a night of lodging, and didn't have to pay for a hostel. Does anyone else plan their routes around overnight trains just to cut lodging costs? I feel like I've been missing out for years.

Did you book it through the rail site or at the station, because that deal sounds almost too good to be true?
