Brought a budget stew to a potluck and got the best compliment
My coworker who always buys expensive food tried it and asked for seconds. I told her it was just lentils and veggies!

Why do people always assume fancy ingredients make food better? Some of the best meals I've had were just simple, cheap stuff cooked with care.

Remember my buddy made a cheap chili for a block party. The neighbor with the fancy grill went back for thirds. He was shocked it was just beans and canned tomatoes.
