Serious question, has anyone else had a good experience with a broker everyone else seems to hate?

My uncle, who's been investing for 30 years, said his broker at a firm with a 2.2-star average rating has actually saved him money with their low flat-fee structure. It made me wonder if online reviews are just for the angry people. What's a broker you've stuck with despite bad press?

Yeah, I saw a finance writer point out that review sites are basically complaint departments. My old broker got torn apart online, but their basic platform just worked for me.

Oh totally. I mean, my last bank had the worst reviews online, people were so mad about the app. But idk, I just needed a place for my checking account and it was fine? Never had a single problem with transfers or anything. Maybe it's just me but I feel like the people who have a normal time don't bother writing a review.
