Picked a local broker over a national chain for my house sale in Phoenix
I was stuck between two options when I sold my place last year. One was a big national firm with flashy ads, the other was a smaller local broker who knew the neighborhood. I went with the local guy because he showed me comps from my exact street, not just the zip code. House sold in 12 days for $5k over asking, which shocked me. Anyone else had better luck with smaller brokers over the big names?

Did you feel more comfortable with someone who actually knew your street?

Oh yeah, that makes a HUGE difference. When someone already knows your street it takes away that weird tension of trying to explain where you live while they're Googling it. It just feels safer and more natural somehow.
