Vent: my monstera's aerial roots rotted because I listened to the misting crowd
I was misting my monstera twice a day for 3 weeks in my Houston apartment because every forum post said high humidity equals happy plant, and the aerial roots turned brown and mushy by day 20. I cut the misting cold and switched to a pebble tray instead, and 3 new roots popped out in 10 days. Anyone else think misting is way overhyped for monsteras, or did I just do it wrong?
