Read somewhere that root rot is basically drowning your plants in love. Finger test in the soil beats any calendar.

Overwatering plants is just another version of the same mistake people make with everything from friendships to food prep. We think more attention or stuff will fix things, but usually it just makes the problem worse. Keep your hands dirty and your brain quiet, that's the real trick.
