My kid asked me why I only grow 'pretty' plants
We were in my backyard in Austin, and my 8 year old pointed at a patch of clover and said 'that's a plant too, right? Why don't you love it?' I always focused on my roses and herbs, calling everything else a weed. It hit different coming from her. Now I'm looking at the whole yard like a habitat, not just my garden. Anyone else have a moment that made you see 'weeds' differently?

What's the biggest thing you had to change after having kids?
