Dandelions taught me something about my lawn care routine last Tuesday
I was out pulling dandelions from my front yard in Columbus when I noticed they kept coming back in the same spot near the mailbox. Turns out I was only yanking the leaves, not the taproot, so they just regrew within days. Has anyone else had luck with a specific tool for getting those deep roots out cleanly?

nah you gotta get a dandelion puller, the one with the v-notch at the end. i had the same problem for years just ripping leaves and getting mad. got one at lowes for like 12 bucks and it changed everything. you stick it in the ground next to the root and twist, it pulls the whole thing out in one piece. no more regrowth in that spot. just make sure you do it when the ground is a little wet so it comes out clean.

Wait, have you ever had to deal with creeping charlie though? That stuff is way worse than dandelions in my yard. I tried pulling it by hand for two summers and it just kept spreading like a bad rumor. Ended up getting this little rake tool with curved tines that grabs it from the roots. Worked okay but I swear that plant is from another planet. My neighbor just sprays chemicals on his whole lawn and it kills everything except the charlie somehow.
