That window with 40 books stacked face out isn't artsy, it's lazy
Everyone in the local book club keeps praising the face out wall at the shop on 9th Street, but I think it looks like a clearance bin turned on its side. There were 40 books jammed in with nothing but the covers showing, and you couldn't read a single spine, so I had no clue what half of them even were. When I asked the owner why, she said face outs push sales, but a window is supposed to make me want to walk in, not squint. A few propped up with room to breathe beats a pile every time, so tell me what window actually made you go inside and buy something.
