Switched from handwritten staff picks cards to printed shelf talkers at our store and I feel like a traitor
For two years I did all the window cards at Wordplay Books in Portland by hand with a chunky Sharpie, and last weekend I finally printed 20 shelf talkers on cardstock instead. My wrist was done after a bad batch of 40 cards during the holiday display, and the printer version took 15 minutes flat. The thing is, three regulars already told me the window looks less charming now, and I kind of agree. Anyone else here wrestle with the handwritten vs printed card thing for their displays?
