That $35 audiobook of a 900-page fantasy series I couldn't get past chapter 3

I bought it during a sale last fall because the reviews were glowing, but the world building was so dense I fell asleep twice before page 50. Anyone else waste money on a hyped book that just didn't click?

Honestly 35 bucks for something that might put you to sleep sounds like a good deal if you're an insomniac lol. But for real, it's just a book, it's not that deep.
