500 welds in a week is impressive work, but I noticed you said "pressure vessel" welds. Those usually need to be certified by a specific code like ASME Section IX, not just counted by the number. Totally agree with you @the_rose. I saw a guy brag about 600 welds in a week once. Turned out he was just counting tack welds on handrails. Pressure vessel work is a whole different animal. ASME Section IX is no joke. Failed a visual test myself a few years back because my cap was too wide by a hair. Numbers without code compliance don't mean much.
