My game group in Omaha fell apart over a single rule in Twilight Imperium

We had a six player game planned for three weeks, but one guy argued the 'Imperial' strategy card was broken for a full hour. He ended up flipping the board, scattering pieces across my basement floor. That was six months ago and we haven't played a heavy game since. How do you handle a player who gets that heated over a rule?

Wow, maybe just stick to Monopoly from now on.

Honestly I used to feel the same way. But then I tried playing with a group that really knew the rules. Changes everything. Turns out the game is actually pretty balanced when you play it right. Makes you see the whole thing differently. Now I get why people like it.
