Hot take: I thought legacy games were just a fad until I played Pandemic Season 1
My group in Austin finally convinced me to try it last month, and we finished the whole campaign in four sessions. The way the board permanently changed after each game actually made the story feel real, which I never expected from a box of cards. Has anyone else had a game type they dismissed that completely won them over?

Oh man, that reminds me of my old group's first time with Risk Legacy. We were so nervous about putting that first permanent sticker on the board, it felt like we were breaking the game. By the end, the map was a scribbled mess of old alliances and grudges that told our whole story.

Remember how we all argued over who got to place that first sticker? We ended up making a house rule that the player who won the first game got to pick the spot, but the whole table had to agree on the sticker choice. It turned a tense moment into this cool group decision that set the tone for the whole campaign.
