Spent $120 on a lens with IS and it saved my night shots

Back in 2018 I was shooting concerts with a cheap 50mm and everything was blurry from the low light. Finally dropped $120 on a used lens with image stabilization and it was like a different world. The difference between shaky hand shots at 1/30 shutter and crisp ones at the same speed is nuts. Now I'm trying to get the same clarity from my old gear for daylight stuff, but that IS lens is still my go to. Anybody else have a budget lens that punched way above its price?
