Hot take: I blew $80 on a phone gimbal for my sister's wedding and every single shot came out soft
I shot my sister's wedding in Savannah three weeks ago and thought a $80 gimbal would fix my shaky hands for good. Turns out it only helps with the tiny jitters, not the real problem, which is that my phone's autofocus hunts like crazy in low light. I ended up with 214 photos and maybe 30 are sharp enough to print. The reception hall was dim and every time someone moved, the focus slid off their face. So now I have a pile of garbage pics from a day I can never redo, plus a gimbal I barely touched. For anyone who has shot a dark indoor event like this, did turning off autofocus and locking it on a spot actually help, or is there a better fix I'm missing?
