A guy on a forum told me I was holding my camera wrong
I used to get these soft blurry shots with my DSLR, especially when trying to shoot birds around the pond near my house. I blamed the lens, I blamed the light, I even blamed the camera. Then some random person in a photography group pointed out that my left hand was under the lens, not supporting it from the side. They said I was basically letting the weight of the lens wobble free. I changed my grip that same day and took a test shot of a tree in my backyard. It was the sharpest picture I had taken in months. Now I always cup the lens barrel with my palm facing up. Has anyone else gotten a simple tip like that that totally changed their results?
