My agency's post-placement counselor left the company without telling me

I found out last week when I called for my monthly check-in and got a new person who had no notes on my file. I had to explain my whole open adoption story from scratch, which felt like starting over. Has anyone else had to switch support people mid-process and how did you handle it?

That "starting over" feeling you mentioned is so real and so draining. When you had to explain your whole story again, did the new counselor at least seem to get it and take good notes, or did it feel like talking to a brick wall? That difference would really shape how I'd handle going forward.
