Lost $2,800 on a reunion coordinator who ghosted me

Hired a so-called adoption reunion specialist in Phoenix back in March, paid half upfront for her to find my son's birth father records. She took the cash, gave me one folder of outdated court docs, then stopped returning calls after two weeks. Anyone else get burned by these expensive middlemen who promise faster answers?
