Why does nobody talk about how split seasons wreck a good binge?

I got hooked on a mystery show and blew through the first few episodes. Then I hit a wall where the next part was months away. Now I'm stuck trying to recall clues I've already forgotten. It totally kills the momentum when you have to wait. Just a fair warning before you dive into something with gaps.

For real, waiting totally makes it worth it. Like @avery_torres49 said, it changes how you see things. I used to hate waiting too, but now I get it. The build up adds to the excitement. When you finally get what you waited for, it feels amazing. It's like the delay makes you appreciate it more, lol.
