Shoutout to the show that finally got me to put my phone down
I have a real problem with scrolling on my phone while watching stuff. I tried to watch a new show called 'The Last of Us' last week and kept missing big moments. So I tried a trick I saw online: I put my phone in a different room and set a timer for 45 minutes, which is about one episode. The first ten minutes were hard, but then I actually got into the story. I noticed things like the way the characters looked at each other, stuff I would have missed. After three episodes, I didn't even want my phone back. It made the show feel way more intense. Has anyone else tried something like this to really get into a new series?

Are you kidding me with this phone lockup thing? Why would you make watching TV into a chore? The whole point of modern shows is you can enjoy them your own way. If I miss a detail, I can just rewind it. My phone lets me look up the actors or read fan theories while I watch, which makes it more fun, not less. Turning off the world for 45 minutes feels like a punishment, not a way to relax.

Honestly, my phone is basically glued to my hand (it's a real problem). I had to start leaving it in the kitchen just to remember what a plot point feels like.
