My wife talked me into watching a show about a chess player
I figured it would be boring, but we started 'The Queen's Gambit' on a slow Sunday. Three episodes in, I realized I hadn't checked my phone once. We finished the whole thing in two days, which is a record for me. I learned that a show about anything can be gripping if the story is good. Has anyone else been surprised by a show they thought they'd hate?

Honestly, what show did it for you? I had the same thing happen with that baking competition show. My friend made me watch it and I rolled my eyes so hard at first. Tbh, I thought watching people bake was the most boring idea ever. But the drama and the way they film it just pulled me right in. Now I've seen every season and I get way too invested in who makes the best cake.
