Watched a guy bring in a wheel so taco'd I thought it was a wall hanging, then he picked it up 40 minutes later
This guy walks into the shop on a Tuesday with a rear wheel that looked like a potato chip, I'm talking at least 15mm of lateral wobble and three snapped spokes. He says he hit a curb at speed on his commute near the river trail. I tell him it's probably toast and I'll see what I can do. Forty minutes of truing, relacing two spokes, and a tension check later, that thing was straight enough to ride home. He comes back the next day with donuts and says it held up fine on his 6 mile ride in. What's the worst wheel you guys have brought back from the dead, and did the rider ever admit how it happened?
