Hit 20 years behind the chair and it still feels weird

Last month I did my 20,000th haircut, just counted back through my old appointment books. It hit me that I started in a shop in Detroit with one clipper and a spray bottle, now I got a station with six different fade attachments. Any old timers here remember when a straight razor shave was $5 and nobody asked for a beard lineup?

Damn, 20,000 haircuts?! That number is blowing my mind right now. I can't even wrap my head around that many heads coming through your chair. And $5 for a straight razor shave, man that takes me back. I remember when a skin fade was just called "a tight cut" and nobody knew what a lineup was either. You counting back through those old books must feel like flipping through a whole different era of barbering. That Detroit start with one clipper and a spray bottle though, that's some serious grind right there.
