Switched to fabric pots from plastic last spring and my balcony tomatoes went nuts

Used to just use those cheap plastic nursery pots from Home Depot for my cherry tomatoes. Read online that fabric pots let the roots breathe better and stop them from getting root bound. After moving to a 10 gallon fabric pot on my south facing balcony in Austin, my harvest went from maybe 15 tomatoes a season to over 40. Has anyone else had a big jump in yield just from changing the pot type?

Yeah fabric pots changed everything for me too, I swear they dry out just right so the roots don't rot.

Fabric pots kinda make stuff dry out too fast for me in my climate. My plants need more consistent moisture and the fabric lets it evaporate way quicker than I'd like. Feels like I'm watering every single day and my roots still aren't as happy as they were in plastic.
