My pepper plants got a weird leaf curl that took a month to fix
Turns out it wasn't bugs or disease, just my own overwatering. I had to let the soil in my 5 gallon pots dry out completely for over a week before they bounced back. What's the longest a simple mistake has messed up your plants?

Watched my basil go from lush green to droopy yellow for like three weeks before I realized I'd been giving it a shower every single day like some kind of plant spa treatment. @tylermason you're right that slow damage hits different, at least with aphids you get the satisfaction of squishing something, you know? Idk about you guys but I'm pretty sure my plants just think I'm some kind of water hose wielding lunatic at this point.

Is overwatering really a simple mistake though? I see it as the hardest thing to get right. The line between enough and too much is so thin, and the damage takes forever to show. My worst was with a tomato plant I basically loved to death. It looked fine, then just stalled for almost two months before I figured it out. That kind of slow damage feels way worse than a quick pest attack.
