My cherry tomato plant finally gave me a harvest after 4 months of waiting
I was about to give up on my little balcony garden when I spotted three ripe cherry tomatoes this morning on my plant that's been growing since April. How long did it take for your first balcony tomatoes to ripen?

Oh man, I swear everything good takes forever to show up but then disappears in a flash. It's like waiting for a package that's "out for delivery" for three days.

Okay but @beth_stone, is "everything good" really disappearing too fast, or are we just bad at enjoying it while it's here? Think about seasons - summer feels endless in July but by September everyone swears it flew by. And that "out for delivery" package is a bad example because it actually shows up, just not when you wanted it. Maybe the real problem is we've trained ourselves to want things to last forever when nothing does, and expecting otherwise is just setting ourselves up to complain.
