Just realized most people are watering their balcony plants way too fast
I've been watching my neighbors and seeing posts here, and I think a lot of us just dump a whole watering can on the soil and call it good. The water runs right through the pot and out the bottom, and the roots never get a real drink. I learned this the hard way when my cherry tomatoes kept wilting in the afternoon sun even though I watered every morning. A gardener friend told me to water slowly, like over a full minute, letting it really soak in. I tried it, and my plants perked up in two days. Now I count to sixty while I water each pot. It makes a huge difference. Has anyone else switched to a slower pour and seen better results?

Slow watering is a GAME CHANGER. My plants stopped looking so sad once I started giving the water time to actually sink in.

It's like how rushing anything usually makes it worse, not better.
