My sourdough starter finally doubled in 4 hours after 3 weeks of feeling like a failure

It took 22 straight days of feeding every morning before I got that first real rise and now I'm wondering if I should name the jar or if that's too weird, has anyone else had a starter take that long to finally kick in?

Did you used to think naming starters was dumb too? I changed my mind after mine finally took off.

My buddy Mark named his little Chevy "The Mighty Bean" and I laughed at him for like two years straight. Then that thing somehow made it through a blizzard and a flash flood in the same week without so much as a hiccup. Now every time I see him pull up in it I kinda feel like I owe it a little respect or something.
